Assistant Finance Manager

Seeking an Assistant Finance Manager for a leading Financial Services Provider in Gibraltar.

You will form part of the finance team, with the primary responsibility for the strategic day-to-day management of protected cell companies.

Assistant Finance Manager Responsibilities:

• Invoicing the Protected Cell Company, with multiple Cells. This will include all Cells in Gibraltar and several Cells in Malta.
Preparing quarterly aged debtors. Chasing outstanding debts on a weekly basis. Monitoring and Managing the Invoice
• Regular review and reconciliation of tax payments, premiums, reinsurance recoveries, company expenses and other
administrative payments as necessary.
• Request/Review payments sent to the payments coordinator. Payments include Reinsurance/Taxes/Expenses Fees and claim
payments. Prepare, monitor and reconcile cashbooks. Manage cash balances on the banking system.
• Preparation of quarterly tax returns to HMRC and Fiscal representative
Participation in maintaining and adhering to the corporate governance platform, in particular in relation to check lists,
supporting information, authorisations, sign-offs and time scales.
• Hosting weekly status meetings with the Finance and Insurance Teams to discuss any queries/updates.
• Ad-hoc queries from clients and liaising with colleagues in other domiciles and departments.

Assistant Finance Manager Experience/Qualifications:

• ACCA part-qualified or equivalent
• Minimum of three years experience within an accounting environment.
• Insurance sector experience (desirable)
• Advanced Excel skills
• General knowledge of industry products, regulations and developments
• Knowledgeable on the Accounting Standards
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
• Ability to work independently and be proactive
